In an impressive opening performance, Dante Moore, the quarterback for the Oregon Ducks, threw for 213 yards and three touchdowns, becoming the first player in the team's history to achieve this feat in a Ducks opener.

Moore's touchdown passes were distributed evenly, with each finding a different receiver. Ten receivers had a catch for the Ducks in the game, demonstrating a strong offensive showing. Malik Benson was one of the standouts, catching five passes for 51 yards and a score.

Jordon Davison, a true freshman, also made an impact on the ground, rushing for 26 yards and three touchdowns. Atticus Sappington added a 23-yard field goal in the opening quarter for Oregon, further bolstering their lead.

Oregon faced Montana State, a formidable FCS power, in the opener and routed them 59-13. Montana State, who went undefeated and lost in the FCS championship game last season, struggled to keep up with the Ducks' offensive prowess.

Justin Lamson, the quarterback for Montana State, threw for 198 yards in the game. Myles Sansted kicked a pair of 42-yard field goals for the Bobcats, but it was not enough to close the gap.

Coach Dan Lanning did not publicly name a starter before the first game, adding an element of mystery to the Ducks' lineup. The Ducks will look to continue their strong start next Saturday, as they host Oklahoma State. Montana State, meanwhile, will face South Dakota State at home.
