Leipzig's leading goal scorer: - Openda chooses significant course for what lies ahead.
Supposed to be a sunny day,
Recently, Lois Openda tied the knot with his love, Liz, in a small Belgian town called Jabbeke. With just about 14,000 inhabitants, close to Bruges, the wedding ceremony took place in the local town hall. Openda sported a black suit, a white shirt and a light-colored vest while his bride donned a silver strapless dress.
An obvious fact: Liz's pregnancy confirms that the couple will soon welcome a bundle of joy into their lives.
The mayor officiated the ceremony, not an easy task as he had to switch between Dutch - the official language in the Flemish region and French - the language spoken by Openda and his guests.
Openda extends a helping hand to his former club
Wedding at home, his former club will forever hold a special place in his heart. Prior to playing for RB Leipzig, Openda was a part of the Vitesse Arnhem team. The Dutch club is currently struggling financially, hanging on the brink of amateur football. Responding to their plea for donations, Openda has contributed alongside other former players like Milot Rashica (27/ex-Werder Bremen) and Wilfried Bony (35/Manchester City).
Looking forward, Openda now aims to make a mark at the European Championship.
Taking care of his home and his heart, the newlywed and soon-to-be father is gearing up for the EM with all his energy and commitment.
