Open Position Announcement at World Vision International Nepal (WVIN)
In a recent job posting, World Vision International Nepal (WVIN) announced the search for a Nepalese candidate to fill the role of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Coordinator at their West Field Office in Dhangadi.
The MEAL Coordinator will be responsible for improving the quality of programs through a monitoring and accountability system. This includes facilitating regular and periodic baseline, evaluation, and monitoring processes, as well as collecting, collating, and verifying information from NGO partners.
To be considered for the role, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Humanities/Arts from a recognized university, and have at least 2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation. A good understanding of program logic, indicators, and M&E plan is essential, as is proficiency in computer applications, including advanced level Excel.
Candidates must also demonstrate collaboration and team building skills, as well as the ability to work independently. They should be self-motivated, confident, and able to take initiatives and work under pressure exhibiting high levels of flexibility.
In addition, candidates must have a good understanding of the humanitarian sector, and knowledge of data collection methodologies, sampling techniques, and descriptive and inferential statistical methods. Working knowledge of SPSS or STATA is preferred, but not required.
The MEAL Coordinator will work closely with WV sector teams and NGO partners to strengthen monitoring systems, and will report to the Regional MEAL Specialist. The role provides current situation information for appropriate programming and evidence of change over time.
