Lotto.com Jumps on Board NCPG's Awareness Campaign

Lotto.com is the latest organization to hop on the NCPG's Problem Gambling Awareness Month (PGAM) bandwagon for March. This campaign aims to shed light on the perils of compulsive gambling.

A Push for Responsible Gambling with PGAM

By joining this campaign, Lotto.com can exhibit various preventive measures and educative practices for problem gambling. The goal is to connect vulnerable gamblers with treatment options and recovery services.

In 2021, Lotto.com earned the Internet Compliance Assessment Program (iCAP) accreditation from the NCPG. This showcases the company's dedication to maintaining responsible gambling practices and overall player protection.

Lotto.com prioritizes educating players within the lottery sector. Their CEO, Thomas Metzger, emphasizes:

"We're all about equipping our staff with the knowledge, training, and tools for responsible gaming. Our mission is to strengthen security, foster trust, and to create a positive and safe environment for players."

The Core Message: "Seeking Understanding"

This year's PGAM launched under the "Seeking Understanding" credo, focusing on breaking the stigma surrounding gambling addiction and elucidating this complex mental health issue.

The NCPG aims to cultivate understanding and empathy for individuals grappling with gambling-related problems and provide support to their affected families.

Note: While Lotto.com has pledged to uphold the best practices in player protection all year round, there's no documented year-long initiative between Lotto.com and the NCPG that stems from their participation in PGAM.

However, other efforts to combat problem gambling are in motion. For instance, New York colleges are implementing a plan to address gambling issues on campuses and New York considers stricter sports betting regulations to safeguard consumers. Moreover, the NCPG plays a role in Minnesota's proposed legislation addressing sports betting by potentially high-risk gamblers.
