Prepare yourself, poker enthusiasts! The Winter Championships Online Series is making a grand comeback in the bustling US market, marking yet another significant event in the BetMGM Poker landscape.
The series runs from February 16 to March 2, divided into two separate pools. The shared liquidity network of New Jersey and Michigan will host one player pool, while another will be exclusive to BetMGM Poker players in Pennsylvania.
Both series boast nearly identical schedules, encompassing 56 tournaments each. Among these, 21 events will crown trophy winners, with essential highlights like the weekly $250 Sunday Main, the prestigious Six Figure Sunday with a $1,000 buy-in, and the $1,000 Championship event on the final day.
The shared liquidity network series boasts over $1.7 million in guarantees, with an average prize pool of nearly $32,000 per tournament. The standalone Pennsylvania series offers more than $850,000 in guarantees, averaging just over $15,000 per event. In total, the series guarantees over $2.6 million in prize money.

Series Highlights
As a seasonal Championships series, this event radiates prestige, reflected in the higher buy-ins, ranging from $50 to $2,500. While No-Limit Hold'em dominates the schedule, players can also compete in other formats, such as Pot-Limit Omaha, PLO8, and No-Limit Omaha Hi.
The schedule showcases several of BetMGM's renowned tournament brands, such as C-Note, Sunday Starter, and Sunday Deepstack. These tournaments come in various formats, including PKOs and Turbo structures, predominantly structured as 6- or 8-handed tables, with a unique 7-max tournament format for one event.
Regrettably, Mystery Bounty tournaments remain absent from the schedule, although BetMGM plans to introduce this format in the coming months.
The $1,000 Six Figure Sunday, set to kick off on the first day, stands out as a marquee event, with the shared liquidity network offering a $200,000 guarantee, while Pennsylvania hosts a $100,000 guarantee.
On the following Sunday, the Super High Roller takes center stage, featuring a $2,500 buy-in and a $200,000 guarantee in the shared NJ/MI network, $100,000 in Pennsylvania.
Each week, the $250 buy-in Sunday Main guarantees $60,000, with the series culminating on the final day with the Championship event, featuring a $1,000 buy-in and offering the largest prize pool of the series: $225,000 in NJ/MI and $125,000 in Pennsylvania.
Winners of these prestigious events will claim not only the top prize but also a coveted Championship trophy. Leaders' promotions are expected for both series, though details have yet to be announced.
Step satellites are available for both series, with buy-ins starting at $2 for Step 1, $10 for Step 2, and $100 for the final step.
This marks the second Championships Online Series since the merger that took place in the first week of November 2024. Compared to the previous edition, overall guarantees have been slightly reduced, while the Pennsylvania leg has seen a modest increase.
