Online debut of BürgerGIS, a digital geoportal, exclusive to Hanau residents, offering geographical data and mapping services.
The city of Hanau is set to launch a new digital service on September 1, aiming to make the city more accessible and transparent for its residents. The service, named CitizenGIS, is part of the city's ongoing digitalization process and is designed with the needs of the people of Hanau in mind.
CitizenGIS can be accessed via a user-friendly website, offering a wide range of information about the city. Examples include locations of municipal kindergartens, schools, leisure, culture, and sports facilities. Additionally, the system contains all map services of the city administration, including land value data, bus route networks, and city run route information.
The goal of CitizenGIS is to increase transparency of the city administration's work and establish new digital services to simplify existing processes. Future developments of CitizenGIS include real-time evacuation maps, traffic and environmental information, AI-supported analyses, and citizen data comparison features.
Thomas Nawrath, the press contact for CitizenGIS, can be reached at 0171 6418342 for further information.
CitizenGIS is part of a forward-looking approach, aiming to make Hanau a more citizen-friendly city. The service is intended to offer interactive functions for individual evaluations, allowing residents to tailor the information they receive to their specific needs.
As the launch date approaches, the city of Hanau looks forward to providing its residents with a powerful new tool to navigate and engage with their city on a more personal level.
