Philippines: Alias Eric Arrested in Intelligence-Driven Drug Operation
In a significant development in the fight against illegal drugs, Police Brigadier General Jaysen De Guzman led an operation in Pagagawan village, Datu Montawal, Maguindanao del Sur, Philippines, on August 28, 2025. The operation resulted in the arrest of an individual known as alias Eric, who is a legal age resident of the area.
The arrest was part of an intelligence-driven law enforcement operation against illegal drugs. Crucial information about Eric's alleged illegal activities was provided by residents, which played a vital role in the operation's success.
During the operation, the police seized P600,000 worth of illegal drugs from the suspect's possession. The seized drugs weighed more than 85 grams and were suspected to be shabu.
Colonel Noli Abolinsay, the police chief in Maguindanao del Sur, announced the arrest and seizure. He commended the operating team for their efforts in the fight against illegal drugs.
The suspect and the seized evidence are currently under the custody of Datu Montawal Municipal Police Station. The arrest was made in close coordination with the local community.
