Once a refugee child, the Edi has become the Fuith, a traditional host.
In the heart of Pinkafeld, a significant change is on the horizon. After five generations of family ownership, the Fuith restaurant is passing the reins to Eduard "Edi" Gjoni, a waiter who started his career at the establishment ten years ago.
Edi, who hails from Kosovo and was a refugee child, found his passion in the catering industry. He began his training at the Fuith restaurant under the guidance of Herr Oberrisser at NMS Pinkafeld. Over the years, he has earned the respect and affection of the Fuith family, with Lisa Fuith, the outgoing manager, referring to him as part of the family.
"Edi is part of the family," Lisa said, expressing her confidence in the upcoming transition. Michael Fuith, the senior boss, shares her sentiment, stating that "everything is in good hands with Edi."
Edi's approach to his profession is marked by a deep love for observing guests and catering to their needs beyond the menu. He lives his work with passion, aiming to preserve the best of the Fuith tradition while bringing in new ideas.
Lisa Fuith is stepping down after eleven years due to her daughters' disinterest in the catering industry and lack of time for family. Edi's takeover will officially take effect next year.
The Fuith restaurant, the first pizzeria in Burgenland, has been a staple in the community for many years. Edi intends to maintain the Fuith name and tradition, while introducing changes such as new events and potentially new opening hours.
Eduard Gjoni acknowledges that not every day in the catering industry is rosy and expresses fear of failure. However, he is determined to make the Fuith restaurant a success and continue the legacy of the Fuith family.
Despite his young age, Edi takes over the Fuith restaurant at the age of 25. His dedication, passion, and respect for the Fuith family make him an ideal candidate to carry on the tradition. As he continues to address the senior boss as Herr Fuith out of respect, it is clear that he holds the Fuith family and their legacy in high regard.
The exact reasons for the Fuith family selling the restaurant to Edi are not publicly known. However, the community looks forward to witnessing the next chapter in the Fuith restaurant's storied history under Edi's leadership.
