Omsk broadens sports participation for individuals with disabilities

In September, a new judo section for children with hearing impairments will join the existing sports programs at the Pushnitsa Sports School on Mira Prospect, 23. This new initiative will be held five times a week, providing opportunities for those with hearing impairments to learn and excel in judo.

Coincidentally, the Pushnitsa Sports School is also home to the established sled hockey team "Ladya". This team, which caters to individuals with mobility impairments, trains around 40 athletes and has gained recognition in the city. Some of the athletes trained by "Ladya" are veterans of a special military operation, demonstrating their resilience and determination.

The A.V. Kochevnikov Ice Palace, another location for sports activities, is where the sled hockey team "Ladya" trains. The name of the coach for the children's judo section for the deaf at the branch of the Pushnitsa Sports School at Mira Prospekt 23 in Omsk is not publicly available at this time.

Both the judo section and the sled hockey team "Ladya" aim to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals with impairments, fostering their physical and mental development through sports. The start of the judo section in September will mark an exciting addition to the sports offerings at the Pushnitsa Sports School.
