Okada Manila Launches Okada Play to Boost Declining Revenues
Okada Manila has expanded into online gaming with the launch of Okada Play. The new platform arrives as the company faces a decline in land-based revenue. A partnership with PhilWeb Corporation will support its digital push.
The collaboration between PhilWeb and Tiger Resort, Leisure and Entertainment Inc. (TRLEI) brings Okada Play to life. PhilWeb will supply the gaming content, platform technology, customer service systems, and marketing expertise. Brian Ng, PhilWeb's president, called the deal a key move to extend Okada Manila's luxury brand into the online market.
Okada Manila's financial performance has weakened in recent years. Its 2025 gross gaming revenue fell by 20.1% to PHP 27.81 billion (around US$462 million). Adjusted EBITDA also dropped sharply by 44%, landing at PHP 4.27 billion. The launch of Okada Play aims to offset these losses by tapping into new player segments.
The platform is designed to mirror the high standards of Okada Manila's physical resort. By entering the digital space, the company hopes to attract a wider audience while maintaining its premium reputation. The shift also reflects broader industry trends blending land-based and online gaming experiences.
Okada Play marks a strategic effort to diversify revenue and strengthen market leadership. The platform's success will depend on its ability to replicate the resort's luxury appeal in a digital format. For now, the partnership with PhilWeb provides the technical and operational foundation needed for growth.
