Oil operations underway in Isargestade
In the heart of Munich, the second phase of construction works at Isargestade and the surrounding areas is underway. The focus of this phase is on the section between Podewilsstraße and Johann-Weiß-Weg.
The second construction phase requires a closure between Zweibruckenstraße and Johann-Weiß-Weg, affecting bus routes 7, X3, 501, and 530. The detour for these bus lines is via the stops Postplatz and Am Alten Viehmarkt.
Drivers are still requested to observe closure and detour signs, no-parking zones, and bypass the construction site accordingly. However, traffic can still be rerouted via two alternative routes:
- Podewilsstraße - Schlachthofstraße - Stethaimerstraße - John-F.-Kennedy-Platz - Seligenthaler Straße - Bismarckplatz - Zweibruckenstraße
- Podewilsstraße - Am Alten Viehmarkt - Bischof-Sailer-Platz - Heilig-Geist-Gasse - Postplatz and Zweibruckenstraße
Pedestrians and cyclists can still pass through the construction works, but bus passengers may need to adjust their routes. A temporary stop will be set up in front of the main building of the Stadtwerke.
Residents can drive from Zweibruckenstraße to the parking lot of the Deutsche Rentenversicherung/Ussar-Villa. Access for residents from Podewilsstraße to Johann-Weiß-Weg/Litschengasse remains free.
The first construction phase at Isargestade started on May 2, 2023, and ended on August 31, 2023. The second phase began on September 1, 2023, and is scheduled to end on December 15, 2023.
We urge everyone to stay informed and follow the necessary traffic regulations during this period to ensure a smooth and safe journey.
