Officers Disclose Information from Verden-Osterholz

In a series of events that unfolded on Monday, several incidents were reported across the Lower Saxony region, according to local authorities.

Jewelry Theft in Verden

In Verden, an unfortunate incident occurred between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM, when unknown perpetrators stole jewelry worth several thousand euros from a single-family home. The elderly resident of the house was gardening at the time and was unaware of the theft. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Verden police at 04231/806-0.

Shed Fire in Langwedel

Around 12:30 PM, a shed on the Große Straße in Langwedel caught fire for unknown reasons. The fire department managed to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent buildings, but the state road had to be fully closed during the extinguishing work. The damage was estimated at several thousand euros. The police in Langwedel have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire, and anyone with information is asked to come forward.

Traffic Hazard in Schwanewede

At around 20:45, a silver compact car caused traffic hazards on the main street in Schwanewede. The police are seeking witnesses to the incident and hope for any useful information that may help identify the driver.

Van Break-ins in Achim

Between Sunday at 2:00 PM and Monday at 7:00 AM, three vans were broken into in Chemnitzer Straße, Jenaer Straße, and Schwalbenstraße in Achim. Tools worth several thousand euros were stolen. Anyone with information about these break-ins or the perpetrators is asked to contact the police at 04202/996-0.

Other Incidents

In Ritterhude, tools worth 2500 euros were stolen from a small van on a parking lot on the north side of the street after breaking the lock. In Lilienthal, tools worth several thousand euros were stolen from a van on a fenced company site in Moorhauser Landstraße.

On Friday at around 07:40 in Lilienthal, a cyclist was injured in a collision with a silver station wagon at the Im Bruch intersection area. The car driver left the scene after a brief verbal exchange. The police in Lilienthal are asking witnesses who observed the collision to contact them at 04791/307-0.

On Monday at around 14:20 in Vollersode, a collision between a VW and a Nissan caused both drivers to be lightly injured and estimated damage of around 25,000 euros.

Lastly, a field fire covering approximately 40 square meters broke out on the Allerwiese in Verden on Monday at around 4:45 PM. Neighbours extinguished the fire with buckets of water, preventing further spread. The police in Verden have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire, and anyone with information about the fire is asked to contact the police at 04231/806-0.
