Officer encountered with water splash from a man
A 50-year-old man found himself in trouble with the law after an incident at a disco in Bayreuth on Saturday night. The man, who remains in custody, is being investigated for a series of offences.
According to reports, the man disobeyed a house ban at the disco, refusing to leave when ordered by both the security service and the police. His actions escalated as he resisted arrest, striking and kicking officers, and attempting to strike an officer in the face while being led away.
In addition to resisting arrest, the man is being investigated for assault, bodily harm, and insult against law enforcement officers. He also attempted to kick officers during transport to the police station, despite being restrained on the ground.
The incident culminated with the man deliberately spitting a large mouthful of water onto an officer's face and body at the police station. The 32-year-old officer sustained minor hand injuries from the incident.
The man's companion was also present during the incident, but it is unclear if they will also face any charges. The prosecutor's office has ordered a blood test for the man to determine if he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the incident.
The security service had previously issued a ban for the man at the disco, but he disregarded this order and attended the venue nonetheless. The incident has led to multiple investigations against the man, with the potential for several charges to be brought forward.
The man's identity has not been released, and the investigation is ongoing. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
