On a sunny morning of July 5, 2025, a motorcycle accident took place on the B 85 highway, near the popular Biker Oasis "Cafe 36". The incident occurred at approximately 11:00 a.m.
The accident involved a Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special motorcycle, with the rider sustaining a chest contusion. The rider was transported to Sangerhausen Hospital for treatment. The motorcycle suffered around 100 euros worth of damage.
The investigation into the cause of the accident is being conducted jointly by the Northhausen State Police Inspectorate and the Kyffhäuser Police Inspectorate. It is reported that the rider fell after applying the front brake too harshly, but the exact circumstances leading up to the accident are still under investigation.
