With the B96 extension, drivers can tow trailers with a variety of vehicles. For instance, a VW Tiguan with all-wheel drive allows for a permissible weight of up to 4500 kilograms, while an SUV like the Mercedes ML permits a weight of up to 4050 kilograms. Even a Mitsubishi Pajero can tow a trailer with a weight of up to 4350 kilograms with the B96 extension.

Class 3 driver's license holders, on the other hand, have a broader range of vehicles they can operate.
