Helloween's "Giants & Monsters" Receives Rave Reviews in Latest Hammer Magazine

Helloween, the legendary European metal band, has once again made headlines with their latest release, "Giants & Monsters". The album, released on August 29 via Nuclear Blast, has been met with critical acclaim, particularly in the latest issue of Hammer magazine.

In an exclusive interview conducted by Guitar Guitar (GG), Kai Hansen, one of the band's founding members, discussed the album and the band's 40-year career. The interview took place with Hansen, though the exact location is not specified. The album was recorded in Wisseloord Studios, Netherlands.

"Giants & Monsters" is the second release by Helloween since the return of former frontman Michael Kiske and singer/guitarist Kai Hansen in 2016. The expanded 'Pumpkins United' lineup of Helloween has toured the world and achieved unprecedented levels of success.

Long-serving vocalist Andy Deris remains in the band, and his and Kiske's vocal contributions in "Giants & Monsters" are praised by Chris Chantler in his review for Hammer. The power ballad "Into The Sun" from "Giants & Monsters" is a masterclass of the form, featuring beautiful vocal lines from Deris and Kiske.

The new issue of Hammer also includes reviews of all the most talked-about metal albums of the month. In addition to the review, the magazine features an interview with the band, discussing not just "Giants & Monsters", but the band's 40-year career. The new issue of Hammer is available for order, featuring an exclusive cover and t-shirt.

To celebrate the release of "Giants & Monsters" and the latest issue of Hammer, Metal Hammer has partnered with Helloween to offer a t-shirt and magazine bundle exclusive through the Louder webstore. The bundle includes a current issue of Hammer with a cover dedicated to Helloween. Supplies for the bundle are limited.

During the interview, Hansen also discussed the band's approach to music, stating that they chewed heavy metal down and spat it out their own way. He also expressed his dislike for the term 'power metal', stating that he thinks it is cheesy.

Helloween's 2021 self-titled album was their first-ever chart-topper in Germany. With "Giants & Monsters", it seems the band is continuing to break new ground and cement their place as one of the most influential metal bands in history. The interview with Helloween discussing "Giants & Monsters" and their 40th anniversary in the European metal scene was conducted by Guitar Guitar (GG) and took place with Kai Hansen, though the exact location is not specified. The album was recorded in Wisseloord Studios, Netherlands.

The new issue of Hammer also includes a celebration of the late Ozzy Osbourne and the inside story of the new Deftones album "Private Music".
