In the heart of Hattingen, a care facility on Brandstraße was the scene of a theft on August 25, 2025, at around 13:00. The Criminal Police are currently investigating the incident.
According to reports, an unknown male was found attempting to force open a closet door within a resident's ground-floor room. After being spotted, the suspect immediately fled the room. The theft is believed to have involved cigarettes, but the investigation is ongoing to determine if anything else was stolen.
