Novak Djokovic Dances to KPop Demon Hunters in US Open Victory

Novak Djokovic, the world-renowned tennis star, surprised fans during his US Open quarterfinal victory over Taylor Fritz with an unexpected dance move. The dance was based on the choreography from the soundtrack album of the Netflix movie, KPop Demon Hunters.

The K-pop girl group associated with the movie's soundtrack is "HUNTR/X," a fictional group that features in the movie. KPop Demon Hunters, produced by Sony Pictures and Netflix, has topped the streamer's global rankings and the soundtrack has made a significant impact on the music charts. It debuted at No. 8 on the all-genre Billboard 200 and reached No. 1 on Billboard's Soundtracks chart.

The dance moves were taught to Djokovic by his daughter, Tara, who turned 8 years old on Tuesday. Despite not being present at Flushing Meadows for the US Open, Tara was the inspiration behind Djokovic's unique celebration. The tennis champion referred to his victory as a "big present" for his daughter.

Djokovic expects Tara to rate his performance when she watches the match on Wednesday. He hopes that his dance will make his daughter smile when she wakes up. Fans of KPop Demon Hunters have been creating art, covers, cosplay, and choreography connected to the movie, and Djokovic's dance has added to the growing excitement surrounding the movie.

In the US Open quarterfinals, Djokovic won with a score of 6-3, 7-5, 3-6, 6-4. He will face either Alexander Zverev or Jannik Sinner in the semi-finals.

The movie KPop Demon Hunters follows the fictional K-pop girl group HUNTR/X as they fight demons. The soundtrack, with its energetic and catchy tunes, has become a hit among fans of the movie and now, it seems, among tennis fans as well.
