The much-anticipated Bamberg Sandkerwa is set to return for its 75th anniversary on August 21, 2025. This local institution, a highlight of the city's calendar, will once again bring together residents and visitors alike for a festive celebration.

Among the notable participants is Bamberg's Second Mayor, Jonas Glüsenkamp. For the past four years, Glüsenkamp has been a dedicated worker at the Sandkerwa, donating his earnings and tips to support various organisations. This year is no exception.

Glüsenkamp will be working at two beer tents during the event. On August 21, 2025, starting from 6 pm, he will be at the "Kleinstadthafen" located at Leinritt 11a. He will be joined by Sven Goller and René Tröger.

On the last day of the Sandkerwa and August 25, 2025, from 7 pm, Glüsenkamp will be working at the "Schwarzes Schaf" located at Schranne 7. He will also be present at the "Schwarzes Schaf" on the final day of the event.

Road closures will be in effect throughout the Sandkerwa due to traffic restrictions in the city area.

The donations from this year's Sandkerwa will be given to the non-profit organisation "Friend instead of stranger." The organisation plans to use the money for integration work. Last year, the donations benefited the out-of-school educational centre "NEO Bamberg."

The Bamberg Sandkerwa is not just a celebration, but also an opportunity to give back to the community. With Glüsenkamp's dedication and the support of the city, the Sandkerwa continues to make a positive impact.

So, mark your calendars and join the festivities at the Bamberg Sandkerwa 2025. Not only will you be part of a cherished tradition, but you'll also be contributing to a worthy cause. Prost!
