Liam Anderson Realises NFL Dream with Indianapolis Colts

Liam Anderson, a former Holy Cross football player, has realised his dream of playing in the National Football League (NFL) after signing a reserve/future contract with the Indianapolis Colts.

The 2023 season marked a significant milestone for Anderson as he was called up to the active roster for the first time in Week 17. His journey with the Colts began earlier in the year when the team showed interest in him during the draft and free agency, eventually agreeing to terms with him after the draft's conclusion.

Anderson spent most of the season on the Colts' practice squad, honing his skills and building a good rapport with the team's new head coach, Shane Steichen, who took over the position in the winter of 2023.

The Colts, under Steichen's leadership, had a successful season, culminating in a 23-20 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in a game where Anderson played a part. The victory had major playoff implications for the Colts.

Prior to joining the Colts, Anderson spent five years at Mount Saint James and was a standout player for the Crusaders. He was named Crusader of the Week and attended the Crusaders' pro day and Spring Game, where he was joined by fellow Holy Cross football players John Smith, Peter Oliver, and Derek Ng.

Smith, another Holy Cross football player, also had his NFL dreams come true. However, no Holy Cross player was selected in the NFL Draft. Despite this, three players' dreams were still fulfilled, including Anderson's.

Anderson has expressed his intention to remain connected to Holy Cross Football and plans to train at the Colts' facility during the offseason. He looks forward to continuing his NFL journey with the Indianapolis Colts.
