A canine had to be euthanized. - NFL player faces animal cruelty allegations.

Buggs is alleged to have abandoned a Pitbull and a Rottweiler in his house for almost a decade without water or food.

These accusations are laid out in legal documents, stating that the dogs were discovered by police and animal welfare authorities on March 28th, severely malnourished, emaciated, and neglected, surrounded by filth.

The pitbull had to be put down shortly after, while the Rottweiler survived.

According to neighbors, Buggs had vacated the property more than ten days prior to this incident, yet failed to inform his landlord. In April, he was given eviction notices demanding payment of $3,116.90.

Buggs Denies Accusations and Threatens Conspiracy Against Him

The NFL player's representative swiftly responded to the allegations, asserting "Mr. Buggs emphatically refutes the validity of these claims and charges. He has always been against animal abuse. These canines were not his property, nor was he aware of their presence on the property."

Incidentally, he suspects a conspiracy by the city of Tuscaloosa to smear his client's image. Buggs operates a shisha bar in the city, and this accusation, he contends, is just a scheme to force him to close it down.

The Kansas City Chiefs chose not to comment on the allegations.

Prior to being let go by the Detroit Lions on January 2nd, Buggs joined the Chiefs' training camp shortly thereafter. By February 14th, he had secured a one-year deal worth $1.15 million.
