Newly Constructed Kronsrode Area: Brand of Building Materials Marketed in Kattenbrookstrip
Firefighters from Hannover's Fire Department successfully extinguished a fire involving building materials in the Kronsrode new development area on Tuesday afternoon. The blaze was reported at around 3:00 PM and spread to adjacent buildings, leading to the dispatch of an additional fire engine.
The operation, which involved 34 firefighters and eleven vehicles, was completed at 4:00 PM. The firefighting measures were successful, and the second fire engine dispatched was not needed. The burning materials were predominantly plastic, causing significant smoke development that was visible far beyond Hannover's city limits.
Initially, it was reported that the fire involved burning trash containers, but further investigation revealed that it was building materials that were on fire. The police have initiated an investigation into the cause of the fire, but as of now, no statements can be made about the cause or the extent of the damage.
During follow-up operations, the stairwells of nearby residential buildings were checked for smoke. The original content was transmitted via news aktuell by the Fire Department Hannover.
