Newcastle United will be without winger Anthony Gordon for their next three matches, following his straight red card in the match against Liverpool. Gordon's first league match following the suspension will be in the home clash with Arsenal at the end of September.

Meanwhile, Newcastle have bolstered their attacking options with the signings of Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa. Wissa is expected to lead the attack in Gordon's absence, with Murphy and Olanga also in contention for starting spots. Harvey Barnes is favourite to deputise on the left flank.

In other news, Alexander Isak was sold to Liverpool for a British transfer record on deadline day, marking the departure of Callum Wilson this summer.

The Magpies will kick off their Carabao Cup defence later this month, with Gordon eligible to face Bradford City. However, the match will not be broadcast live in the UK due to the Saturday 3pm blackout.

Fans can follow the action on talkSPORT from 14:30 on GameDay Live with Adrian Durham, Troy Deeney & Micky Gray. Alan Shearer criticized Gordon for the challenge on Virgil van Dijk.

Despite the suspension, Newcastle will be looking to bounce back from their recent defeat when they face Wolves on Saturday, September 13, with a 3pm kickoff at St James' Park. Wolves sit bottom of the table having lost all three of their opening Premier League games.

Gordon will be available for Newcastle's Champions League opener against Barcelona next week. The search results do not provide information about which player is likely to play on Newcastle's left flank in the absence of Gordon.
