Newcastle United Secures New Signing: Woltemade Transfers from VfB Stuttgart in Bundesliga Deal

In a move that has sent shockwaves through the footballing world, VfB Stuttgart's 23-year-old striker Nick Woltemade has signed a long-term contract with Newcastle United in the Premier League. The transfer fee, reported to be up to 90 million euros, makes it the most expensive sale in VfB Stuttgart's history.

Initially, Woltemade was not included in VfB Stuttgart's Champions League squad, but he gained momentum throughout the season, scoring 12 goals in 29 Bundesliga games. Despite initial rejections of several offers from Bayern Munich, the decision to sell Woltemade was made in the interest of VfB Stuttgart's overall responsibility.

Alexander Wehrle and Fabian Wohlgemuth, VfB Stuttgart's bosses, had assured that Woltemade would play for the club this season. However, Woltemade had already submitted his transfer request to the club at an early stage and had reached an agreement with Munich club. After a change in framework conditions, VfB Stuttgart agreed to a sale of Woltemade.

Eddie Howe, trainer of Newcastle United, has said that Woltemade fulfills exactly the requirements the club was looking for in attack. Sebastian Hoeneß, VfB coach, described Woltemade's departure as a "significant loss."

Woltemade joined VfB Stuttgart from Werder Bremen last summer without a transfer fee. His contract with VfB Stuttgart originally ran until 2028, without an exit clause. Woltemade's contract with Newcastle runs until 30 June 2031.

Woltemade has stated that it's a big step in his life to leave Germany, but everyone has welcomed him so well, it already feels like a family. The deal with Newcastle is now finalized, ending the transfer saga surrounding Woltemade. The Woltemade case has been a dominant topic on the transfer market in recent weeks, with Bayern Munich also showing interest, but Woltemade will now join Newcastle United.

The transfer fee of up to 90 million euros makes Woltemade's move to Newcastle United the most expensive sale in VfB Stuttgart's history. The young striker's departure is a significant loss for the German club, but a promising step for Newcastle United in the Premier League.
