New York City subway system experiences sudden blackout during rush hour, sparking passenger threats of unauthorized ride-taking as retaliation
In the heart of morning rush hour on Tuesday, thousands of commuters in New York City faced a major inconvenience as the power to the subway signal system was knocked out. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), responsible for the power supply of the New York City Subway system, is currently investigating the cause of the outage.
The disruption caused chaos, with displaced riders flooding other train lines, resulting in a scene described as "total chaos." Riders on trains D, B, F, A, C, and E experienced massive delays.

However, Crichlow was not supportive of riders who plan to skip the fare in response to the delays. He stated that those who don't like the transportation network should find another place to move.
