New Year's Bookings Surge in Sochi, Anapa, and Gelendzhik Despite High Flight Costs
New Year's holiday bookings are surging in Sochi, Anapa, and Gelendzhik, with around 60% of mountain hotel places in Sochi already reserved. Tourists are drawn to these destinations for a genuine winter experience.
The high cost of flights is the primary obstacle to increasing tourist numbers during the New Year holidays in Krasnodar Krai resorts. Prices vary significantly depending on the accommodation and services chosen. In Sochi, a four-day stay in a three-star pension costs 41,000 rubles without a holiday banquet, and 60,000 rubles with it. For two people, a Sochi holiday starts at 10,000 rubles, with prices reaching up to 280,000 rubles for a five-star hotel with full board and a buffet. Gelendzhik offers holidays from 6,500 rubles to 70,000 rubles in five-star hotels with a holiday program. In Anapa, the holiday costs a minimum of 5,000 rubles, with three nights in a five-star hotel starting from 100,000 rubles. Sanatoriums are recommended as an alternative to hotels, providing relaxation and health improvement.
Despite the varying costs, these destinations remain popular for New Year's holidays. Tourists are willing to pay more for a genuine winter experience and the opportunity to relax and improve their health.
