New Recruits Join Bonn Police Presidency
On September 1, 2025, the Bonn Police Presidency welcomed 109 new personnel, including 108 police officers and one administrative official, at the police headquarters.
Klaus Zimmermann, the Deputy Police President and Senior Criminal Director of the Bonn Police, welcomed the new recruits during a ceremony held at the police headquarters. Zimmermann addressed the new police commissioner candidates, stating that it was an important step in their careers.
Of the 108 police officers, 88 recently completed their studies at the University of Applied Sciences and were appointed as police commissioners. The remaining 20 police officers were transferred to the Bonn Police Presidency from other police authorities in North Rhine-Westphalia on their own request.
Klaus Zimmermann, the Deputy Police President, welcomed 160 young individuals as police commissioner candidates at the ceremony. These candidates were appointed as police commissioner candidates and will begin their dual study at the police in NRW. The dual study for the 160 new police commissioner candidates has started on the same day, September 1, 2025.
Zimmermann expressed his pleasure at the new recruits joining the Bonn Police Presidency. He encouraged the new personnel to uphold the values and principles of the police force and to serve the community with integrity and professionalism.
