New Trainees Begin Their Apprenticeship in Nordhorn

The City of Nordhorn has welcomed a new group of trainees who have started their apprenticeships at the Euregio Clinic's Vocational School for Health Professions. The newcomers include Leonore Drehband, Laura Alferink, Moniek Geerties, Nele Grรผppen, Marit Harland, Esther Hemme, Vivien Peltz, Cora Slangen, Liesa Hehenkamp, Katja Heils, Maria Segbers, and Celina Schmidt, who are embarking on a dual study in nursing.

The induction days for these new trainees were packed with a variety of activities designed to make their entry into the city administration easier and provide them with initial insights. The trainees began their journey with a bike tour that took them to external locations around the city. They also had the opportunity to visit the Nordhorn fire station, where they viewed the city from above using a rescue platform on a fire engine with a lifting platform.

The training included IT training and etiquette training to prepare the trainees for their apprenticeship. As part of the induction days, an office rally was held, during which the trainees explored various departments of the administration. A joint barbecue with the youth and trainee representation was also held, and a pizza break was included to keep the energy levels high.

The trainees were also treated to a shared breakfast and a pedal boat ride on the Vechtesee. The induction days were planned and accompanied by trainees from the second year of training, ensuring a smooth transition for the newcomers. The day's activities ended with a joint bowling session among the trainees.

The City of Nordhorn warmly welcomes all new trainees and wishes them a successful start and an exciting and instructive training period. The aim of the induction days was to make the new colleagues' entry easier and provide them with initial insights into the structure of the city administration. The City of Nordhorn looks forward to the contributions these new trainees will make in the coming years.
