New Station Leader Takes Charge at Herzogenaurach Police Station

Effective July 1, 2025, Police Chief Inspector Rainer Schramm has taken over the leadership of the Herzogenaurach police station in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district. Schramm, who was born in Fürth in 1979, began his career in the middle police service at the Bavarian Bereitschaftspolizei in Nuremberg in 1997.

After completing his training, Schramm served in a special unit and then transferred to the patrol service at the Garmisch-Partenkirchen police station. In 2002, he returned to Mittelfranken and served at the Fürth police station, where he was later deployed.

Schramm has a rich and varied experience in the police force. After gaining leadership experience as deputy shift leader at a police station, he worked at the criminal police and the asylum service of the Zirndorf police station. His outstanding performance earned him admission to study and promotion to the 3rd qualification level.

In 2021, Schramm was appointed as the deputy station leader of the Herzogenaurach police station. Alexander Bugla, who previously led the station, has left to begin studies at the Police University. Schramm's inauguration was performed by the President of the Bavarian Police Headquarters Mittelfranken, Mr. Adolf Blöchl, who considers Schramm to be one of the best and his top candidate for the position.

Rainer Schramm has expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him by Police President Adolf Blöchl. The First Mayor, Dr. German Hacker, has warmly welcomed Schramm as the new station leader. Dr. Hacker has praised the excellent work of the police in maintaining a strong sense of security in Herzogenaurach.

Schramm has emphasized the importance of maintaining a short line of communication and open exchange with network partners. He wants to strengthen the trust of citizens in the police and build on the excellent work of his predecessors to shape it.
