New Jersey Lottery Awards $1.6M Jersey Cash 5 Jackpot to Lucky Winner
A lucky player in New Jersey has just claimed a $1.6 million Jersey Cash 5 jackpot. The winning ticket was bought at the National Food Store on Bleecker Street in Jersey City. This marks the 53rd major win in the game this year alone.
The latest victory follows a string of big payouts across the state, with multiple players striking gold in recent months.
The winning numbers for the October 17 draw were 1, 16, 25, 43, and 45. The Bullseye and XTRA numbers came in at 16 and 4. The ticket was sold in Hudson County, adding to the growing list of recent lottery successes in New Jersey.
Earlier this year, two players split a $3.8 million Jersey Cash 5 jackpot—one from Camden County and another from Monmouth County. Before that, in September, separate winners in Sussex and Union counties each took home $150,000 on consecutive days.
The state has seen a surge in high-value wins recently. Between December 13, 2025, and March 13, 2026, two players won over a million dollars each: a $1.2 million prize in Newark on January 5 and a $1.5 million win in Trenton on February 28. Last month, two more players simultaneously hit a $1.2 million jackpot—one through Lotto.com and another at a store in Manahawkin.
To celebrate the wave of winners, the New Jersey Lottery is running its Another Millionaire promotion for VIP members until November 1. The campaign offers extra chances to win prizes, giving players even more opportunities to strike it rich.
The latest $1.6 million win brings the total number of Jersey Cash 5 jackpots this year to 53. With ongoing promotions and frequent big payouts, the lottery continues to create new millionaires across the state. Players can still enter the Another Millionaire draw until the end of October.
