New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and partner Jordon Hudson aim to copyright the term 'Gold Digger'
Football Coach Bill Belichick's 24-year-old Girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, Makes Headlines
In an unexpected turn of events, the upcoming University of North Carolina (UNC) football season, set to begin on Labor Day against TCU, has been accompanied by a unique storyline. The 49-year age gap between UNC's head coach, Bill Belichick, and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, has become the talk of the town.
Belichick, in a recent interview, acknowledged Hudson's presence in his life, stating that she has been "very helpful" from a business standpoint. However, the couple's relationship has raised some eyebrows, with questions being posed about their professional and personal dynamics.
Hudson, who was criticized for her involvement in one of Belichick's interviews with CBS, has been included in email threads between Belichick and UNC officials regarding potential social media backlash. This has led to speculation about the extent of Hudson's involvement in Belichick's professional life.
Despite the controversy, Belichick has clarified that Hudson is not involved with UNC football. He further stated that he was "surprised" about getting questions about his relationship with Hudson. The couple made their relationship public last year.
The controversy deepened when Hudson interrupted the CBS interview several times, delaying it by around 30 minutes at one point. Belichick accused CBS of creating a "false narrative" with selectively edited clips regarding Hudson's involvement. However, CBS disagreed with Belichick's version of events.
In a surprising move, TCE Rights Management, a business owned by Belichick and managed by Hudson, has filed a trademark for the term "Gold Digger" for goods such as jewelry and keychains. TCE Rights Management has other Belichick-related trademarks, including "Chapel Bill," "The All-Belichick Team," and "The Belichick Way."
The application for the "Gold Digger" trademark was filed on Monday and cost $350. The law firm Dentons was hired by the company TCE Rights Management, jointly led by Jordon Hudson and Bill Belichick, to file the trademark application for "Gold Digger" in August 2025.
UNC made a statement that Hudson was not barred from the football facility. Despite the controversies, Belichick has remained positive, stating that he is happy. He also acknowledged Hudson in his book and described her as helpful in providing a business perspective.
As the football season approaches, the focus remains on the field, but the off-field drama involving Belichick and Hudson continues to captivate the public. The company's attorneys did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
