New Construction Site in Kronsroode's Kattenbrookstrip: Identified Brand of Building Materials Used in Recently Completed Development by FW Hannover

In the heart of Hannover, firefighters from the city's fire department successfully extinguished a fire involving construction materials in the Kronsrode new development area. The blaze was reported around 15:00, initially appearing as a burning trash container.

Upon arrival, the first-responding forces found burning construction materials cordoned off with construction fences. A total of 34 personnel and 11 vehicles were deployed to tackle the fire. The burning materials, primarily made of plastic, caused significant smoke development, making the fire visible far beyond Hannover's city limits.

Despite the initial uncertainty of the fire spreading to adjacent houses, the initiated extinguishing measures were successful, preventing the need for intervention from the second alerted fire station, Fire and Rescue Station 3 of the professional fire brigade Hannover and the local fire brigade Bemerode.

During follow-up operations, the stairwells of surrounding residential buildings were checked for smoke. The operation for the Hannover firefighters was completed at 16:00.

The police have initiated an investigation into the cause of the fire, and no statements can be made about the cause or the extent of the damage at this time. For further inquiries, please contact the Hannover Fire Department's press office at [email protected] or Christine Reime at 0511 912-1405.
