Marcy Glenn and Kristina Gula recently visited Primm, a less flashy, slightly more kitschy alternative to its neighbouring city, Las Vegas. As they drove into town, the bison-headed neon marquee welcoming visitors to Primm flickered faintly, a stark reminder of its former glory.
Parking in a mostly vacant lot, they took a last snapshot and ran to pose for a selfie in front of the Buffalo Bills sign. For Gula, this was a bittersweet moment. She has been visiting Buffalo Bills since she was a child, spending entire days playing at the arcade there.
Buffalo Bills, located 45 minutes closer to visitors than Las Vegas, once thrived as a popular gambling resort in Primm. However, over the years, it has fallen on hard times. Gula expressed her disbelief about the closing of Buffalo Bills. "I can't believe it's going to be gone," she said. "This place was a big part of my childhood."
