Mike Dreitzer, a seasoned gaming executive with a diverse background in legal, regulatory, and executive roles, is stepping into this new position. His expertise spans various areas within the gaming industry, gaining him the recognition he needs for this key role.
- Previously, Mike was the CEO of Gaming Arts, a gaming equipment supplier based in Las Vegas with over 150 licenses under its belt.
- Before that, he served as the President of North America at slot manufacturer Ainsworth Game Technology and the COO at gaming test lab BMM Americas, also co-founding and serving as COO of gaming content firm G3.
- Don't forget his stint as Deputy Attorney General for Nevada, where he represented the NGCB and Nevada Gaming Commission.
Governor Lombardo is thrilled about the appointment, praising Mike for his "extensive background in gaming compliance" and "decades of industry experience." Lombardo is confident that Mike will take charge of the NGCB with integrity and further its recent innovations and progress.

Current chairman Kirk Hendrick, set to step down in June, pointed out the significant progress made under his leadership, eliminating bureaucratic hurdles and modernizing gaming in Nevada. He expressed his eagerness to achieve even more before his tenure ends, praising Mike as the perfect choice for his successor, given their 30-year history together in the Attorney Generalβs office.
As Dreitzer prepares to take on the new chairmanship, Merkur Gaming, which is in the process of acquiring the interests of Gaming Arts, is set to appear before the NGCB in May. Mike aiming to ensure the "highest-quality gaming regulation" in his new role, will provide a smooth transition from Hendrick's tenure.
