Neptune Group, a leading player in the finished vehicle logistics industry, is set to revolutionise its operations with the construction of a state-of-the-art vehicle terminal, NLS Port-La-Nouvelle, in the south of France. The terminal, scheduled to commence operations in Q1 2026, is part of Neptune Group's strategic expansion plan that combines land and maritime logistics to serve the end-to-end needs of automotive manufacturers.

The new terminal, spanning over 25 hectares, will be able to handle up to 200,000 vehicles annually. It will feature two dedicated berths for car carriers, storage for 12,000 vehicles, and a pre-delivery inspection (PDI) centre. The PDI services will include damage repair, fleet and individual customisation, retrofitting, and vehicle washing.

Neptune Group's commitment to sustainable and high-performance logistics is evident in the terminal's design. Solar panels will be installed for the promotion of renewable energy use. The terminal management services will also include short- and long-term storage, ongoing maintenance, refuelling, battery charging, cargo lot preparation, customs clearance, transhipment, and train loading/unloading.

In addition to the new terminal, Neptune Group has acquired Ferst Logistics in Greece, adding 400,000 sq.m of facility space and a fleet of 35 trucks to its operations. This acquisition further strengthens Neptune Group's presence in the finished vehicle logistics supply chain.

Neptune Group maintains long-standing partnerships with all major OEMs based in France and has been supporting their evolving supply chain needs for decades. The company's shipping division, Neptune Lines, delivers finished vehicles and high and heavy equipment on short-sea routes across Europe, North Africa, and the Black Sea.

France is one of Neptune Group's most important markets, accounting for nearly 20% of its overall volume. The group will utilise a terminal management system (TMS), e-gates, and electronic vehicle inspection systems at the new terminal to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Once fully operational, NLS is projected to create employment for up to 70 workers. This is Neptune Group's first port-based automotive terminal, marking a significant milestone in the company's growth and development. The company representing the speaker at the opening of the Neptune Group relocation in Greece is not specified.
