Navigation within confined areas is proceeding effectively.
In the bustling town of Breda, Dycore, a leading manufacturer and supplier of prefabricated concrete floors, has recently upgraded its operations with the introduction of a new fleet of Hyster forklifts.
The new additions, which include the H30XD12 model, have been tailored to Dycore's specific operational requirements, thanks to the collaborative efforts of Hyster EMEA's Sales Director, Junior van Remortele. This customised solution was further refined by Heffiq B.V., a local Hyster dealer, ensuring a perfect fit for Dycore's needs.
One of the key features of the new forklifts is their lower lifting capacity, complementing the large forklifts already in use at Dycore's Breda plant. The smaller forklifts, which include Hyster electric forklifts and pallet jacks, are ideal for manoeuvring in the plant's yard, designed for maximum storage capacity with very narrow aisles.
Safety has been a priority in this upgrade. The new forklifts are equipped with a weight measurement system in the hydraulic system, preventing overloading, and a speed limit of 15 km/h when moving forward. To further enhance safety, blue LED spotlights have been installed at the front and rear, with a reversing camera offered as an optional solution.
For precise placement of concrete blocks, a front camera has been added to the lifting frame. This, combined with the new forklift's smaller turning radius, which allows for a single turn instead of the previous two reverses, significantly improves efficiency and reduces the risk of damage to valuable concrete blocks.
The new forklifts also come with customer-specific attachments, such as a load guard and a fork carriage, further reducing the risk of damage. The new cabin offers clear visibility of the fork tines, making it easy to pick up concrete plates, and the XD cabin features a glass roof, curved front and rear windows, and steel doors with tempered safety glass.
The robustness and small turning radius of the 30-ton Hyster forklift were key factors in Dycore's decision to adopt it. As explained by Michel Feteris, Expedition Team Leader at Dycore, the area expansion at the Breda plant has resulted in fewer damages being caused, improving operational efficiency.
Dycore, with locations in Breda, Lelystad, and Oosterhout, continues to prioritise safety regulations, minimising downtime, and adhering to just-in-time delivery schedules, making this forklift upgrade a strategic move towards efficient operation.
