NatWest officially announces investment in single-family residences.

In a significant move towards addressing the housing crisis and supporting single parent households, Casa by Moda, a UK-based developer and operator of single-family homes, has secured a debt facility commitment of up to £150m from NatWest. This funding will accelerate the delivery of over 1,100 new rental homes across the UK.

Casa by Moda is committed to creating people-focused, well-connected neighborhoods in the suburbs of major cities. Their vision is to seamlessly integrate these developments into their surrounding communities, providing a much-needed boost to local areas.

The new rental homes by Casa by Moda will be focused on providing affordable housing for single parent households. This initiative comes at a time when research by Gingerbread has highlighted the struggle faced by single families, with 40% experiencing moderate or severe food insecurity and 49% having to cut back or go without food to cope with rising costs.

Casa by Moda homes are designed with sustainability and energy efficiency in mind. They aim to secure more than 5,000 new homes by 2025, contributing to the government's goal of building more environmentally friendly homes. However, following recent government announcements, energy-efficient housing may become harder to come by, making Casa by Moda's commitment even more crucial.

Residents of Casa by Moda neighborhoods can enjoy the benefits of deposit-free living with the option for long-term leases of up to three years. The MyCasa app allows them to monitor room temperature, air quality, and light pollution with real-time data, ensuring a comfortable and healthy living environment.

Casa by Moda has also partnered with Utopi, a proptech organization, to install small environmental sensors into its homes. This partnership is part of Casa by Moda's broader commitment to embedding Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into the design of its properties.

Johnny Caddick, the CEO of Moda Living, has stated that the new funding package from NatWest is a significant milestone in Casa by Moda's growth trajectory. He expressed his passion for delivering a best-in-class experience that prioritizes service, technology, wellbeing, and sustainability.

While the exact locations of the first Casa by Moda neighborhoods in the upcoming months remain undisclosed, the company is actively seeking new opportunities and partners across the UK to deliver on its ambition of meeting the growing demand for high-quality, well-managed suburban rental homes.
