NABU Leadership Found in Eißendorfer Forest: Bergmolch, Erdkröte, and their Colleagues
The Eißendorfer Forest, a picturesque haven nestled in the heart of Hamburg, is set to host a unique event on April 6th, aimed at shedding light on the fascinating world of amphibians.
Environmental associations, including NABU (Nature And Biodiversity Conservation Union) and BUND (Friends of the Earth Germany), have collaborated with local authorities to install frog fences and amphibian corridors in the forest. These efforts are crucial for the protection and conservation of these vital creatures.
The event, which is open to all, will see NABU experts share their knowledge and insights into the lives of amphibians in the Eißendorfer Forest. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the migration patterns of these creatures and the importance of their breeding waters, located within the forest.
The event is scheduled to begin at 8:30 PM on April 6th. To attend, registration is required and can be done via the NABU website: https://events.nabu-hamburg.de
To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience, participants are advised to wear waterproof footwear due to the muddy conditions, and to bring a flashlight if available.
The meeting point for the event is the Appelbüttel bus stop. Bus lines 340, 4200, and 4210 serve this stop, making it easily accessible for all.
This event offers a fantastic opportunity to learn about the local amphibian population and contribute to their conservation efforts. So, mark your calendars and join us in the Eißendorfer Forest on April 6th for an unforgettable night exploring the world of amphibians.
