Mystery Canadian wins $80M Lotto Max jackpot after five unclaimed draws
A lucky Canadian has won the $80-million Lotto Max jackpot from the Boxing Day draw. The prize had gone unclaimed for five consecutive draws before this win. The winner’s identity and location remain unknown.
The December 26, 2025, draw marked the last Lotto Max event of the year. A single ticket matched all seven numbers, securing the top prize. This was the first time in five attempts that the main jackpot had been claimed.
The total prize pool for the draw reached $126 million. This included the $80-million jackpot and 46 Maxmillions prizes worth $1 million each. Since the main prize was won, the next draw on Tuesday will now offer a new jackpot of $129 million.
Three additional Maxmillions prizes were added for the upcoming draw. This brings the total number of $1-million prizes to 49. Players will have another chance to win big when tickets go on sale again.
The Boxing Day jackpot winner has yet to come forward. Their ticket was the only one to match all seven numbers in the December 26 draw. The next Lotto Max draw will now feature a $129-million prize pool, including 49 secondary $1-million rewards.
