Muslims in Pakistan honor Eid Milad-un-Nabi, marking the supposed 1,500th anniversary of the Holy Prophet's birth.

In the heart of Pakistan, the nation celebrated Eid Milad-un-Nabi with religious zeal and devotion on Saturday. The occasion, marking the 1,500th birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), was a source of joy and devotion for the Muslim Ummah.

The prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, emphasized unity, justice, compassion, and peace as key elements to follow in the light of the Prophet's teachings. He highlighted that the life of the Prophet (PBUH) serves as a complete and comprehensive model for all aspects of life, governance, justice, economics, trade, and social values. The prime minister called upon the nation to renew its commitment to build Pakistan in line with the golden teachings of the 'Seerat-un-Nabi' (PBUH).

Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari extended his greetings to the entire nation and the Muslim Ummah on the day of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal. He emphasized the need to implement the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) universal principles of justice, mercy, brotherhood, and peace in social, political, and cultural structures.

The day unites Muslims all over the world in a relationship based on faith, focusing solely on the noble personality of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH). Special prayers were offered after the Fajr prayer for the unity of the Muslim Ummah and the progress and prosperity of the country.

Thirty-one-gun salute was fired at the federal capital, and a twenty-one-gun salute was fired in all provincial capitals to mark the importance of the day. The prime minister, however, did not mention any specific prayers offered or gun salutes fired on the day of Eid Milad-un-Nabi in his message.

The prime minister did not explicitly greet the nation or the Muslim Ummah on the day of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal. Instead, he noted that this year, Pakistan and Muslims around the world are celebrating the Prophet's 1500th birth anniversary as the "Year of Rahmatul-lil-Alameen" (Mercy to All Creations).

President Zardari, on the other hand, extended his greetings to the nation and the Muslim Ummah on the day of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal. He emphasized the significance of the day and the need to follow the Prophet's teachings to achieve peace and unity.

The day was celebrated with fervour and devotion, reminding everyone of the Prophet's message of peace, unity, and love. The police issued a traffic plan for Saturday's Eid Milad-un-Nabi processions, ensuring a smooth flow of celebrations.

In conclusion, Eid Milad-un-Nabi was celebrated in Pakistan with a renewed commitment to follow the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and strive for peace, unity, and prosperity. The day served as a reminder of the Prophet's message and his impact on the world, transforming darkness into light.
