In a remarkable achievement for the City Music School Passau, six of its young flutists have qualified for the state finals of the Bavarian wind music association, set to take place in Nuremberg on March 29, 2025.

Accompanied by their music teacher, Petra Teibrich, the six musicians demonstrated their exceptional skills during the "Concertino" competition in Eching on March 3, 2025. This competition, organised by the Music Association of Upper and Lower Bavaria, featured a diverse program that included works from romantic, baroque, and contemporary literature.

The participants in the competition were four soloists and one duo, all playing the flute. Among the standout performers were Antonia Burkert and Mária Król, who achieved the highest scores in their respective age groups. Their impressive performances earned them the title of association winners.

Amelie Hartl, born earlier than 2016, and the duo Amalina and Larissa Mayet also received excellent scores, contributing to the overall success of the City Music School Passau.

The state finals in Nuremberg will showcase the best musicians from the entire Bavarian wind music association. The competition they are participating in is a significant step towards the national finals, and the entire music community is eagerly anticipating their performances.

The success of these young flutists is a great achievement for the City Music School Passau and benefits the Bayerwald district of the Music Association of Upper and Lower Bavaria. The chairman of the association, Mayor Jürgen Dupper, expressed his pride and support for the talented musicians.
