MUSIC NEWS FLASH: Fontainebleau Snags David Guetta from Wynn, while Lil Wayne Secures Double Bookings

Popular DJ David Guetta, a mainstay at Wynn Las Vegas's XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club for over a decade, has now moved his performances to Fontainebleau Las Vegas.

Guetta will be performing a two-year residency at LIV Nightclub and LIV Beach, venues owned by David Grutman and his Groot Hospitality, starting in 2025.

"David is a one-of-a-kind talent who personifies the charm and sophistication that defines the Fontainebleau brand," said Jeffrey Soffer, CEO and chair of Fontainebleau, in a statement.

As part of the agreement, Guetta will also make occasional appearances at Fontainebleau Miami Beach.

This sudden and mysterious shift has undoubtedly stirred up Wynn, as they are currently in the process of suing the Strip's latest resort for poaching talent. And Fontainebleau is adding insult to injury since company CEOs rarely appear in press releases about music bookings.

No news on dates, ticket info, or new lawsuits yet.

Rap star Lil Wayne isn't a prize that casino companies are fighting over, given his preference for open relationships.

Wayne has announced dual residencies with Zouk Nightclub at Resorts World and Drai’s Beach and Nightclub for June and July.

"We're thrilled to welcome Lil Wayne to Zouk Las Vegas," said Joe Lopez, VP of Zouk, in a statement.

"We could not have paired with a more energetic artist for this inaugural residency partnership," said Dustin Drai, president of Drai’s Management Group, in the same statement.

Lil Wayne's shows at Drai's start on June 29, while his shows at Zouk start on July 12.

Tickets and table reservations are currently available at Zouk Las Vegas and Drai’s Nightclub.

The "Blanco y Negro" tour by Mexican rap sensation Santa Fe Klan will stop at Planet Hollywood's Bakkt Theater on Saturday, July 27. The concert will feature special appearances from That Mexican OT and Alemán.

The Giddy Up Music Festival will make its debut at the Downtown Las Events Center from October 18-20. Headliners will include a new version of Lynyrd Skynyrd — whose last original member, guitarist Gary Rossington, passed away last year — singer Megan Moroney, and Turnpike Troubadours. Giddy Up will be the first country music festival since the tragic Route 91 Harvest on Oct. 1, 2017. Tickets go on sale on Thursday, June 20 at giddyupfest.com.

Lil Wayne no longer believes in exclusive relationships — at least not with the casinos that book him.
