The Evangelical Church in Solingen is organising a concert titled "Concert of Encounter" on Sunday, 1st September, at 5:00 PM at the City Church in the Middle, Fronhof. This special event is being held in honour of the attack on the Solingen city festival.

Church Music Director Stephanie Schlüter, the district cantor of the Evangelical Church in Solingen, has organised the concert at short notice to counter the attack's divisive effects. The concert aims to promote unity and understanding, values that are deeply important to all involved.

Aeham Ahmad, an internationally renowned pianist, will be performing at the concert. Ahmad, who gained worldwide fame as the "Pianist in Ruins", has played numerous concerts despite an injury to his left hand from a shrapnel wound.

Ahmad, a Palestinian refugee who grew up in the Yarmouk refugee camp in Damascus, Syria, has been living in Germany since 2015. He studied piano in Damascus and Homs before gaining worldwide fame through his YouTube videos during the Syrian civil war.

Ahmad advocates for peace and understanding through his performances, a message that resonates deeply with the people of Solingen. He has performed in Solingen several times before, earning a warm welcome from the community.

Numerous artists, including many from Solingen and internationally known pianist Aeham Ahmad, will perform at the concert. Other performers include Petra Berghaus, Reinhard Finke, Saher Redur, Stephanie Schlüter, Sinja Waldmann, Erwin Paech, Sascha Jori, Klangvoll, and many others.

Admission to the "Concert of Encounter" is free, making it an accessible event for everyone in the community. The venue for the concert is the City Church in the Middle, located at Kirchplatz 14, 42651 Solingen.

This promises to be a powerful and moving event, bringing together the community of Solingen in a celebration of unity and understanding. Don't miss out on the opportunity to witness the inspiring performance of Aeham Ahmad and other talented artists.
