Murray Bridge Woman Wins $585K Lottery After 30 Years of Loyalty
A Murray Bridge resident has claimed a life-changing lottery win after matching all seven numbers in Saturday X Lotto's draw 4655. The lucky ticket, bought at Drakes Murray Bridge in the Murray Bridge Green Shopping Centre, secured her a share of the AU$585,849.02 prize. The winner had been playing the same numbers for over three decades in memory of her late mother.
The winning numbers for draw 4655, held on 28 February 2026, were 21, 13, 44, 31, 7, and 35, with supplementary numbers 30 and 34. The Murray Bridge winner was one of 11 division one winners across Australia, with no top prizes claimed in New Zealand. All winning tickets were sold in New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland.
Lottery officials first contacted the winner more than 10 days ago. At first, she struggled to believe the news, questioning whether the win was genuine. Her ticket had been purchased using the same set of numbers her late mother had chosen—numbers she had faithfully played for over 30 years. Each of the 11 division one winners received AU$585,849.02, equivalent to around $419,110. The Murray Bridge resident's ticket was the only winning entry sold in South Australia, making it a rare local success in the national draw.
The win marks a significant moment for the Murray Bridge community, with the prize money set to make a real difference to the winner's life. Her long-standing tradition of playing her mother's numbers finally paid off, turning a sentimental habit into a substantial financial windfall.
