Murcia's November events: Charity lunches, concerts, and festive markets await

November brings a busy schedule of events across the Murcia region. From charity fundraisers to festive markets and cultural performances, local communities have planned a mix of activities for residents and visitors alike.

One highlight includes a commemorative concert in Cartagena, while Los Alcázares prepares a lunch for a good cause.

The month kicks off with the National and International Dog Show and Pet Fair in Torre Pacheco on November 8 and 9. The event will showcase dog and cat exhibitions, agility trials, and live demonstrations from leading training centres. Organisers have not released past attendance figures, but the fair remains a popular draw for animal lovers.

On November 15, the town of Los Alcázares will host a charity lunch to raise funds for the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC). The meal aims to support the organisation's ongoing work in research and patient care.

Later in the month, Gastrobar 6 Sentidos will hold a Christmas Market on November 22, running from 12:00 to 4:00pm. Visitors can browse stalls selling handmade gifts, crafts, and seasonal treats. A charity raffle will also take place, with proceeds going towards the local cat colony.

The Museo Refugio de la Guerra Civil in Cartagena will then host a special concert, 'Luz (Light)', on November 28. Performed by Coro Galatea, the event starts at 8:30pm in the museum's central hall—a space once used as an air raid shelter during the Spanish Civil War. Under the direction of Pedro Andrés García, the programme will feature an emotional selection of musical pieces. Tickets cost €12 and are available via *www.puertodeculturas.cartagena.es as part of the Cartagena Puerto de Culturas* schedule.

The events offer a mix of entertainment, charity, and cultural experiences. The dog show in Torre Pacheco will attract pet owners, while the Christmas Market and charity lunch provide opportunities to support local causes. Meanwhile, the 'Luz' concert in Cartagena promises a memorable evening of music in a historic setting.
