Municipal Music School's Youth Performance: Musical Spectacle for Kids

On Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 6:00 PM, the Festsaal of the Seminar St. Valentin at Domplatz in Passau, Germany, will play host to a cherished annual summer event – the children's musical. This year, the musical "Löwenherz - Leonardo and the magical amulet" by Andreas Schmittberger will be performed by the children's choir and a combo of the Municipal Music School.

For over 30 years, Erasmus Betz has been the driving force behind the rehearsals, organisation, and overall success of this musical. However, this will be his last time taking musical leadership for the children's musical at the Kommunale Musikschule. In the fall, he will hand over the "children's musical baton" to a new director.

The musical is a rock-mystical production that has become a fixed point for many in Passau. Admission for the event is free, making it accessible to all. Despite no specific information available about Erasmus Betz's future role at the Kommunale Musikschule beyond this year's performance, his impact on the musical and the community is undeniable.

The children's musical has been a traditional event in Passau for years, and this year's performance promises to be no exception. The event, performed by the talented children's choir and combo, is a testament to the hard work and dedication of Erasmus Betz and the Municipal Music School.

As the sun sets on Domplatz, the sounds of laughter, applause, and music will fill the air, marking the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of a cherished tradition that has become a staple in the Passau community. See you there!
