In an exciting turn of events, the German Basketball Association (DBB) has announced that head coach Alex Mumbru is on the road to recovery after being discharged from the hospital in Tampere, Finland. Mumbru, who has been recovering from a serious abdominal illness, is now receiving medical care at the team hotel in Tampere.

Mumbru spoke for the first time since the incident and expressed his happiness with the team's performance. He is looking forward to being with the team in Riga for the final round. In his absence, Alan Ibrahimagic has been acting as head coach, leading the team to victory in the recent games against Montenegro, Sweden, and Lithuania. So far, the team has won all three games under Ibrahimagic's leadership.

Meanwhile, Johannes Voigtmann will not play against Britain due to an injured knee. Voigtmann missed the EM game against Sweden due to knee pain and left Tampere on Sunday to have his knee examined in Munich. He is not expected back until Tuesday.

The round-robin game against Britain will be broadcast on RTL and MagentaSport. Mumbru's possible return to coaching is not planned until the final round in Riga, Latvia. Ibrahimagic will be in charge for the game against Britain on Monday.

Mumbru has been in close contact with the coaching staff and trusts them completely. The DBB initially spoke of an acute infection, but team doctor Oliver Putz reportedly mentioned an acute abdomen. Mumbru was initially hospitalized last Monday and spent five nights there.

As the team prepares for the final round, the focus is on recovery and maintaining the winning streak. With Mumbru's potential return and the team's strong performance under Ibrahimagic, the German basketball team is poised for success in the final stages of the European Championship.
