Multitude of Approximately 50,000 Attendees at the Long Museum Night Event

The city of Berlin once again proved its love for culture and history as the Long Night of Museums (Lange Nacht der Museen) attracted a record-breaking 48,000 visitors this year.

Organised by the state-owned Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH, the event saw 75 museums open their doors for a night of exploration, education, and entertainment. Among the most visited were the Humboldt Forum, Museum of Natural History, Neues Museum, and German Spy Museum.

The Humboldt Forum, with its impressive collection of art and cultural artefacts, led the pack with around 8,000 visitors. The Museum of Natural History followed closely behind with 6,400 visitors, while the Neues Museum attracted 6,100 visitors, making it the third most visited museum during the event. The German Spy Museum was the fourth most popular destination, welcoming around 4,900 visitors.

To ensure easy access for all, shuttle buses were available for transportation between museums. These buses played a crucial role in facilitating the smooth flow of visitors, contributing to the overall success of the event.

The theme for this year's Long Night of Museums was "Love in Berlin", with more than 750 events held across the participating museums. These events ranged from art exhibitions and live performances to educational workshops and guided tours.

The strong visitor interest indicates the undiminished appeal of museums in Berlin. As the city continues to grow and evolve, its museums remain a cornerstone of its cultural identity, attracting visitors from around the world.
