Multi-vehicle crash on A1 highway in Poland, resulting in one minor injury and significant property damage, according to local authorities in Ahlhorn.

On Sunday, 7th September 2025, a traffic accident occurred on the A1 motorway in Wildeshausen, Germany. The accident, which took place between the Wildeshausen-West and Wildeshausen-Nord junctions, involved three vehicles: a Volvo, a BMW driven by a 26-year-old from Dorsten, and another BMW driven by a 32-year-old from Hamburg.

According to the investigation conducted by the Police Inspectorate Delmenhorst/Oldenburg-Land/Wesermarsch, the driver of the Volvo, a 58-year-old man, failed to notice that the BMW driven by the 26-year-old was slowing down, leading to the collision. The impact of the collision pushed the second BMW into another lane.

As a result of the accident, a 50-year-old woman and the passenger in the vehicle that caused the accident sustained minor injuries. Both the Volvo and one of the BMWs were no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away. The estimated material damage to all vehicles involved was approximately 33,000 euros.

The investigation is ongoing and no further details about the current status of the involved parties or any legal actions were provided. The 58-year-old driver is under investigation for reckless endangerment and an administrative offence.
