In the beginning of the second half, the Fortuna fans display a banner that states: "Remembering the 90s ... 1 ... We stand with you, Schorsch!"
Koch holds a special place in Düsseldorf. The goalkeeper played a total of 213 top-tier and 165 second division matches (including for Fortuna, Bielefeld, Kaiserslautern, Cottbus, and Duisburg).
"My illness is irreversible, I'll eventually pass away. But God has yet to decide when he'll claim me!"
The Düsseldorf fans loyally support him.
